YOGYAKARTA – Two students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Communication Studies Department of UPN Veteran Yogyakarta, have qualified for prestigious world universities through the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) programme held by the Ministry of Education and Culture (Wednesday, 16/06/2021). The two students are Janendra Favian Maulana and Monica Permata. Later Janendra will undergo lectures at Hanyang University, South Korea and Monica at Yonsei University, South Korea.
Janendra Favian Maulana as the representative said the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) is an Indonesian Student International Mobility Programme that opens opportunities for students from universities in Indonesia to take part in the learning process at reputable universities anywhere in the world to enrich and improve their insights and competencies in the real world according to their interests and aspirations.
He added that the Indonesian Student International Mobility Programme aims to facilitate Indonesian students to gain knowledge and skills, exchange ideas and cultures, and build networks with classmates, academics, and international communities in universities abroad. Through this programme, students also have the opportunity to interact with international students, lecturers and local communities in overseas universities in addition to participating in various cultural activities in their respective universities.
“Through this programme, we feel grateful to have passed the Indonesian Student International Mobility programme. This achievement proves that UPN Veteran Yogyakarta students can compete and achieve achievements nationally and internationally. We hope to bring even better achievements for UPN Veteran Yogyakarta,” explained Janendra.
