YOGYAKARTA – UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta (UPNVY) will hold a new student orientation event called Introduction to State Defence Campus Life (PKK-BN). This event has the theme “Realising Students with State Defence Character to Face the Challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0”. PKK-BN must be followed by prospective new students from both D3 and S1 programmes who are accepted through the National Selection into State Universities, Joint Selection into State Universities and Independent Selection. The activity will be held from Monday, 12 August to 17 August 2019 on the campus of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta.
Chairperson of PKK-BN 2019, Dr Ir Sutarto, said as many as 3,260 prospective new students will participate in the PKK-BN 2019 activities. The purpose of this activity is to provide the spirit and understanding of State Defence in the Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 in the world of education, as well as to introduce the campus environment to prospective new students.
“I hope that in the future prospective new students in the midst of the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era will be able to be aware, ready and open their minds to the changing times of automation and digitalisation, besides that students as future successors of the nation must be able to adapt and survive in the midst of changing times by adhering to the spirit of State Defense,” Sutarto explained.
