4th Graduation 2018/2019, 31 People Achieved Cumlaude Predicate

YOGYAKARTA – Communication Science Study Program of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta graduated 56 students in the 4th graduation period of 2018/2019 academic year. Of the total graduates, 31 graduated with honors (Cumlaude).

The graduation ceremony was held at the Auditorium Building of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, Saturday (07/13/2019). Anisa Dewi Kusumaningrum was recorded as the highest achiever with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.93. While the fastest graduates with a study period of 3 years and 8 months were Brigita Luna Anggia Putri, Maria Gisa Narita, Hiromi Kyuna, Thufeila Hajriana and Andhika Putra Agung Mas.

Head of the Communication Science Study Program Dewi Novianti, SIP, M.Si. advised the graduates not to be afraid to start. “We congratulate you. Don’t be afraid to start and step up as long as it is worth worshiping and being useful for others. Also, don’t forget to thank the parents who have struggled for their children to succeed. Be grateful that you are all here so that you can make your parents proud,” he said.

Before the graduation procession on Wednesday (07/10/2019) a Hospitality and Debriefing of Prospective Graduates of Communication Science Study Program was held. Present at this event was an alumnus of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta Communication Science Study Program from Merapi Merbabu Hotel Yogyakarta, Vanda. In front of prospective graduates, she shared her experiences when entering the world of work.

For your information, the graduation ceremony of diploma, bachelor and master programs in the 4th period of the 2018/2019 academic year of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta this time was attended by 788 graduates. Of the total students who graduated 411 people or 52 percent graduated with the title Cumlaude.

Rector of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta Dr. Irhas Effendi in his speech revealed one thing to be proud of, in the midst of changes in the new student admission scheme for the SBMPTN route, UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta has occupied a fairly good position. “UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta ranks first in the level of strictness of the social science group and ranks seventh in the science group from state universities throughout Indonesia. This stringency value is proof of the better quality of input,” he said.
