Journal of Communication Science is published by the Department of Communication Science, Faculty of Political and Social Sciences, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional (UPN) “Veteran” Yogyakarta, in collaboration with the Indonesian Association of Communication Scholars (ISKI).
Journal of Communication Science ISSN 1693-3028 (print), ISSN 2407-8220 (online) published periodically three times a year, namely January, May and September.
The focus and scope of the Journal of Communication Science is Communication Science, including media and journalism studies, audio and audio visual broadcasting studies, public relations studies and advertising studies. But it does not close to other communication science-related studies such as visual communication design, marketing communication, health communication, communication psychology, and communication sociology.

This journal is published twice a year in English. The scope of studies covered are communication studies, media studies, public relations, marketing communication, new media, political communication, advertising, broadcasting, and other related topics.
The Indonesia Journal of Communication Studies (IJCS) welcomes critical articles and research related to communication issues in accordance with scientific publication standards.
