Fotkom 401 or Photography Communication is a Student Study Group (KSM) of Communication Science UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta which was established on 4 April 2001. This KSM was born to accommodate the development of communication science students’ artwork in the field of photography. Some genres that may be tried in the art of photography include photo story, photo concept, portrait, stage photo and even washing film prints in the darkroom are still used today. Various kinds of agendas that Fotkom regularly carries out include basic and advanced educational materials, material hunting, photo jamborees, talk shows and member photo exhibitions.

CRAST FM
Communication Radio Station FM or Crast FM is a Student Study Group (KSM) of Communication Science UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta which is engaged in community radio. Crast FM was established on 14 May 2003 with a channel frequency of 107.8 FM. This KSM was established as a forum for students majoring in communication science to train and practice lecture theory, especially in the field of broadcasting and good journalism. Crast FM features an easy listening radio format by presenting teenage-adult songs from Indonesia and abroad that are packaged proportionally and balanced. In addition, the broadcast is packaged in an entertaining manner and seasoned with light tips that are charged with education and entertainment. Agenda items include regular broadcasts, podcasts, academic talk shows and charity music events.

AVIKOM
Avikom or Audio Visual Communication, is a Student Study Group (KSM) of Communication Science UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta which was established on 20 May 2001. This KSM was born to accommodate the development of artwork of communication science students in the field of audio visual (broadcasting), especially film. In addition, through Avikom, students’ creativity and talent can be honed. Avikom produces a variety of short films with several genres, according to the theme of the production at that time. Avikom’s regular agenda includes basic and advanced educational materials, film production, training, research, community meetings and film screenings.
