The primary Competence of the Curriculum Structure of the Postgraduate Communication Science Program UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta (UPNVYK) Corporate is to produce graduates with the ability to develop conceptual-analytical thinking and be able to implement communication policy planning in corporate communication, both in professional organizations, bureaucracy, and or business organizations oriented towards solving research-based problems. Contributions of Alumni from the Postgraduate Program in Communication Science
The efforts to achieve the vision of the Postgraduate Program in Communication Science (MIKOM Program) to have a national reputation in the future are inseparable from the contributions of alumni. Alumni play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and development of the MIKOM Program, which is adaptive and innovative. The Tridharma mandate of higher education entrusted to the MIKOM Program requires it to always be relevant to the needs of solving social issues in society.
The relevance of MIKOM alumni contributions in the future will involve their participation in teaching, research, and facility development activities. In teaching activities, for example, alumni will be involved in curriculum improvement, soft skills and hard skills development, teaching methods, academic and non-academic event speakers, and job vacancies. Alumni can contribute by providing input on research issues relevant to practical applications. Community engagement can be strengthened by encouraging alumni to enhance collaboration networks, improve service provision, strengthen funding, expand outreach, and diversify community engagement activities.
